    AAC Training & Consultation

    Many kids and adults can gain a lot from using an alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) system. Basically, AAC includes any means that enhances or takes the place of speech in communication.

    We believe in a “total communication approach” that respects all forms of communication. Whether someone communicates through spoken words, writing, gestures, signs, symbols, or a speech-generating device, every method is valued. A crucial part of this approach is training communication partners. We offer coaching and consultation to families, professionals, and schools to help them become effective partners and educators for AAC users.

  • We only accept private pay at this time (out-of-pocket) via bank transfer, cash, card, Venmo, or Paypal. We can provide you with a superbill at your request, for you to to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

    However, we hope to become a TRICARE provider in the future.

  • Using a private pay model allows us to provide truly individualized treatment. Services don’t require a physician’s referral, there are no caps on how many sessions per year an individual can receive, you don’t have to meet a deductible, and we don’t have to navigate around other insurance restrictions. This way, we have more freedom and flexibility to personalize my services to each individuals’ needs.

  • Yes, our speech-language therapy services are provided by ASHA (American Speech-Language Hearing Association) certified professionals, that maintain their Certificate of Clinical Competence.
